Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals is always on the lookout for creative, forward-thinking individuals who have a keen eye for business development.  In the growth and expansion of our organization, those business savvy, entrepreneurial-minded persons will play integral roles in keeping Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals on the forefront of the vacation rental industry.

As we expand throughout the Rocky Mountain region and open new locations, individuals with business development and management skills, proven sales experience, intimate knowledge and passion for the ski industry, a real estate background, concierge and/or guest services experience, and online marketing know-how or web design/development experience will be needed.  Our planned 35 future locations are located within these following areas:  Colorado, Utah, Montana, Nevada, the Pacific Northwest and Canada.  Positions we are currently seeking applicants for are listed below.


Chief Financial officer (CFO)

Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals (RMVR) is looking for an entrepreneurial, financial professional to join our team as our Chief Financial Officer.    RMVR was recently ranked by Inc. Magazine as the 9th fastest-growing private company in the travel industry and #1410 overall on the Inc. 500|5000 list.  We are looking for someone who recognizes the opportunity before us and desires to get involved at ground level to see our growth to a 100 million dollar plus company.   Interested applicants understand that we are in need of a CFO, but can currently afford a bookkeeper.  This individual must have a keen eye for business development, and strategic financial direction in high growth organizations.  The CFO will be responsible for RMVR’s strategic financial planning, forecasting and management thereof.  Position reports directly to the CEO.

Qualifications:

      • Bachelors Degree Required. CPA Preferred
      • Extensive financial planning and management experience, with preferred experience in the real estate or travel industry.
      • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the application of accounting principles, budget formulation and
        execution, financial and management analysis, and systems development.
      • Excellent analytic, problem solving and communication skills are a must.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
      • Experience working in with banks, investors, and venture capitalists for capital expansion.
      • Non-profit experience is a plus.

Position Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for strategic business planning to facilitate fiscal discipline.
      • Budgeting, Finance Planning, Handling Tax matters, Preparing annuals business plans and budgets.
      • Developing Short-term, Medium-term & Long-term Financial Planning for Company.
      • Develop department budgets, and oversee that resources are used properly and carried out as planned.
      • Budgeting & Variance analysis.
      • Preparation & Analysis of Consolidated Financial Statements
      • Fund management (receipts, payments, cash and bank transactions, cash and fund flow etc.)
      • Responsible for integration of QuickBooks with Inntopia (Central Reservations Software)
      • Maintain cash management system
      • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
      • Other related duties as assigned

Area Sales Managers: Various Locations

If you are a highly motivated, sales professional with intimate knowledge of the area represented, we’d like to talk to you about joining our team.  We will soon grow ski resort markets in Colorado, Utah, Tahoe, and Western Canada for the 2011 and 2012 Ski Season and need the right people to help propel us forward!  This is an incredible position for those looking to build a business, a career and a bright future while living the mountain lifestyle!  We are currently seeking Sales Manager applicants for the following markets.

- Lake Tahoe (Start Date: January 1st, 2012)

Must live in the area represented and have prior tour, travel, and ski resort marketing experience in building relationships with vendors and suppliers….no exceptions.  Candidates must be able to take reservation inquiries directly from clients and close the transaction by matching their vacation travel needs with available accommodations, with ongoing training provided.
