Tommy Hoffman

Owner/ Founder / CEO

Tommy Hoffman - Owner and Founder

Tommy Z. Hoffman is the owner and founder of Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals. After moving to Vail in 1998 Tommy quickly recognized the growing opportunity in the vacation rental market and thus his business began to take shape, becoming what was first known as Vail Ski Vacations. Tommy is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and went to Temple University where he received his degree in Business with a minor in Law. Tommy would choose two words to describe himself: unrelenting and passionate. Tommy can’t stand the words, “it’s too hard,” or “it’s impossible,” which highlights how his innovative, and ambitious, entrepreneurship sets his business apart from others. In his free time, Tommy loves rafting among other outdoor activities, and is a talented ceramicist. His passion is for experiencing as many things as possible, trying almost anything once, and thinking outside the box.

James’ passions revolve around surfing, snowboarding, and music, and one word that could describe him is “driven.” There is nothing about Colorado that James doesn’t love, and for that reason he has continued to stick around and make a life in the Vail Valley. James graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a concentration in Finance.

During the winters, finding Joe would be easiest with a GPS, as he is often hiking in the backcountry with his splitboard looking for untouched snow to ride. Summers are no less adventurous as Joe spends his free time doing laps down Vail mountain on his mountain bike or floating down the river in his favorite raft. When his friends are asked about him, one word often comes to mind, energetic.
