Toad the Wet Sprocket! FREE!

As the sun sets in the beautiful Vail Valley on a perfect summer night, the only place you need to be is at the Gerald R. Ford Ampitheater listening to free music, hanging with your friends, and enjoying some great people watching. Tonight Toad the Wet Sprocket is on stage as part of their summer tour for everybody in The Valley to enjoy. Dancing is encouraged, but not necessary. Food can be brought in, blankets are always a good idea,  and with all these combined, your fun-meter is guaranteed to be overflowing.

If you enjoy any of the following: fun, friends, food, sunshine, mountains, the 90’s, dancing, laughing, music, meeting new people, getting out of your house, or enjoying some local mountain culture, then I should see you at the amphitheater tonight in East Vail. I’ll be there tonight with my friends from here at Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals, and you owe it to yourself to come and enjoy some free music as well.   I see only positives coming from an evening of fun at the Hot Summer Nights concert series this evening.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is one of the most popular alternative rock/folk bands of the early 90’s, with two platinum albums and multiple chart topping hits, and you can see them FREE tonight.

For more information regarding the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, the Vail Valley or on finding lodging in Colorado, contact Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals at 1-888-866-2305. See you there. You owe it to yourself.

Does Florence offer free concerts? Art enthusiasts flock to Vail, CO.

I am getting really excited about the new art-based web site that I am working on. My degree is in art history, and art is something that is very important in my life. Vail has so many incredible galleries and there is always some sort of musical performance or artistic event going on. This town itself can be considered art: A little European-inspired village, nestled in a valley, surrounded by dense forests and soaring peaks…does it get more enchanting than that? Anyways, so many talented artists reside in the Valley area, and I really want this web site to also help promote them. Basically, when I got here, I quickly realized that Vail is an oasis of artistic expression, and more can be done to promote its cultural affluence.

The site is going to provide visitors with an up to date list of galleries, events, artists, and it will feature the inside scoop on rocky mountain society. Many people, me included, are inspired by both the performing and visual arts. With the economy just beginning to warm up, and the current global instability, I want people to become aware that Vail is much closer, and cheaper to get to than Florence! Unlike Florence, Vail maintains a constant inflow of artistic innovation through concert series, festivals, athletic events, and dance performances. I believe that there is a true renaissance going on here. In the last 3 months, I can say that I attended about 10 free concerts, volunteered at The Vail Film Festival, perused over 20 galleries in the area, and partook in a fantastic town-wide food and wine sampling. That doesn’t happen any other place!

The web site will hopefully spark the beginning of a nation-wide awareness that the Rocky Mountains are not just a place to go for outdoor recreation. The mountains supply a backdrop of natural splendor that enhance and inspire artistic creations big and small. I am going to shed light on all aspects of the arts and make it easy for art connoisseurs to plan their vacations around prestigious and culturally rich events. Individuals who may not ski or enjoy rugged outdoor activities will be delighted to discover that Colorado is not only ecologically magnificent, but that it is the hidden jewel of the artistic world.
