Luxurious Backcountry Skiing?

Who says backcountry skiing can’t be luxurious? Maybe that has been your perception for a long time. If so, prepare to see a whole new side of backcountry skiing that you have never seen before. CS Irwin cat skiing is up and running just outside the beautiful and snowy Crested Butte. Photo - Crested Butte MountainCS Irwin’s two custom cats can transport up to 10 powder hounds at a time. These snowcats are not your typical cats, they come with plush leather seats, picture windows, a large flatscreen and surround sound stereo system.  You get picked up in the town of Crested Butte, escorted up CS Irwin’s “Movie Cabin” where there is a short safety briefing before you switch cats and head up the mountain for up to 12 powder runs, if you can handle that much powder in one day!  Of course a gourmet lunch is served mid-day at the “Movie Cabin.”

The snow that falls near Crested Butte is better than anywhere else in Colorado, and that’s why CS Irwin is a must do this season for those looking for a luxury trip filled with more adventure than most people can handle.
