Who says backcountry skiing can’t be luxurious? Maybe that has been your perception for a long time. If so, prepare to see a whole new side of backcountry skiing that you have never seen before. CS Irwin cat skiing is up and running just outside the beautiful and snowy Crested Butte. CS Irwin’s two custom cats can transport up to 10 powder hounds at a time. These snowcats are not your typical cats, they come with plush leather seats, picture windows, a large flatscreen and surround sound stereo system.  You get picked up in the town of Crested Butte, escorted up CS Irwin’s “Movie Cabin” where there is a short safety briefing before you switch cats and head up the mountain for up to 12 powder runs, if you can handle that much powder in one day!  Of course a gourmet lunch is served mid-day at the “Movie Cabin.”
