How does one begin to explain the experience that is Copper mountain. the answer is, not easily. When i first skied copper i had the feeling it would be a classic large ski mountain complete with oversized, overpriced, and overwhelming lodges, mixed in with the occasional snooty local. What i found was the exact opposite. A beautiful village set up unfolding onto a mountain that i would soon find out had endless riding options. I was amazed by the friendly locals who gave me amazing pointers on where to ride, the friendly staff that made sure i was enjoying myself, and most of all the friendly bartenders that made sure my drink was never empty!

Weather its the huge variety of world class lodging, the most amazing skiing in colorado (complete with free snow cat tours), or the convenience and feel of a truly remarkable ski village, one is quick to fall in love with all Copper offers. Head out your door and no matter where you are in copper your minutes from the lift, then head up the mountain to enjoy some open bowl skiing off copper bowl, then head down to enjoy a quick après meal or drink and some live music at JJ’s, and then thank me later!
