Crested Butte Vacations Testimonials

Many locals will claim that Crested Butte is what many of the mountain destinations used to be years ago.  Personally, I take that in stride, and consider it an extreme compliment to the culture of this town.  There aren’t many locations left where the residents have managed to combine their heritage with a sophisticated outlook, yet that is exactly what the Crested Butte area represents.  The colorful houses along Elk Avenue make you feel completely at home as you stroll through town, and the many watering holes will make you never want to leave.

The mountain biking in the area is a force to be reckoned with.  CB is home to one of the top rated trails in the country, trail 401.  After spending an afternoon descending from Schofield Pass on this smooth singletrack, you will be out of breath not only from the adrenaline, but from the amazing panoramic views.  There is a 2 foot deep creek crossing at the end, which is my favorite part of the trail as I am normally pretty hot by the end of such a great ride.  With so many outdoor activities right at your finger tips, and great nightlife to wrap up your day western style, there aren’t many other places that I would want to spend a beautiful day in Colorado.
