Keystone

Opening Day: November 5, 2010

Located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Keystone is one of Summit County’s premier Mountain Resorts. Keystone is filled with constant events and activities throughout the year, along with some of the finest summer and winter sports the Colorado Rockies has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a vacation with your friends, family, or co-workers, or just some time alone, Keystone is a perfect location for all ages and occasions.  Keystone is home to three large mountains and 3,148 acres of highly regarded Rocky Mountain terrain while also boasting some of the finest dining, shopping and spa treatments around. During the winter season, Keystone Resort invites you to let loose and ski and snowboard through an abundance of fresh powder and a wide variety of excellent terrain. Along with world renowned skiing and snowboarding, Keystone offers several other activities during the winter, including snowshoeing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, dog sledding and ice skating. In Keystone, the fun doesn’t stop with the end of winter, but continues right through the summer. During the warm summer months the snow melts and is replaced with green landscapes and colorful wildflowers, creating breathtaking views of the mountains and gorgeous scenery throughout the town.  With blue skies and warm sunshine, the winter ski resort is transformed into a summer playground filled with activities including biking, hiking, horseback riding and much more.

Keystone is separated into five different villages, all unique to their specific location and distinct from one another. West Keystone is the calm, serene section of town, providing a quiet sanctuary of condos and homes allowing for a more relaxing retreat. West Keystone is also home to some of the finest golfing around during the warm summer months. East Keystone was originally the mining center of the town and is largely known for its gorgeous views and picturesque scenery, and for the famous bed and breakfast Ski Tip Lodge. Hidden amongst the Tenderfoot Mountain ridge, North Keystone is located adjacent to the Ski Resort, offering a quiet setting for one to get away while remaining a convenient shuttle distance to the Resort. The Lakeside Village is nestled between the Continental Divide and Gore Range and is filled with mountain charm. Conveniently located near the Keystone Lodge, Spa, and Conference center, Lakeside Village is both quaint and luxurious. River Run Village is located at the center of the resort and offers easy access to winter and summer activities, shopping, dining and nightlife.

Lodging in the Keystone area can be arranged by Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals, and is organized under a set of ratings.  These ratings are: luxury, deluxe, standard, and economy.  The purpose for these ratings is to provide the customer with a general description of what is offered at each level of lodging.  We maintain an extensive inventory in Keystone of luxury hotels, rental homes, and ski in/ski out lodging.  When planning your Keystone vacation, be sure to use our complete concierge services to ensure that we meet all of your needs.  From floral arrangements to babysitters, we can help you out.  For more information on Keystone winter and/or summer packages, please call Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals today.
