Living in a fairy tale is a dream that many relinquished a fair time ago. However, I have managed to obtain the impossible. I live in the Aspen/Snowmass valley where days glow and nights sparkle. Life here is full of magic; it is the equivalent of Disneyland for adventurers, the musically inclined and outdoor enthusiasts. I have travelled extensively throughout the world and lived in multiple Rocky Mountain destinations and I am proud to call Aspen/Snowmass my home. Not only am I in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in Colorado, but I’m also spoiled with some of the country’s best cultural events.

A personal favorite is the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. This annual event draws top chefs, countless vineyards, Sommelier’s and liquor vendors from all over the world. I love to sample foods of every genre, sip award-winning wines and take cooking lessons from world renowned chefs. It’s a three-day weekend of indulgence and gluttony, tasting all the best food and wine the industry has to offer.

As amazing as the Aspen Food and Wine Classic is, it’s only one of many unique events that Aspen/Snowmass has to offer. Locals jam to the Sunday bluegrass music series at the top of Aspen Mountain and the free Thursday night concerts on Mountain. With energetic atmospheres and spectacular views, families dance the night away under the stars.

My fairy tale continues as I spend afternoons ‘wiking’ – my creative version of hiking accompanied by wine. You can find me “wiking” the Rim Trail, I am the one with water, wine, music and a whistle around my neck to warn the bears and other wildlife that I’m coming. To cool off I grab my princess pink inner tube from Carl’s Pharmacy and float down the Upper Roaring Fork River. Every day brings a new adventure unique to this wonderful town!
