Snowmass lift tickets are also good at Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk Mountain - so if you manage to get bored of Snowmass there is plenty more terrain to explore just down the road. If you are a cross country skiing or snowshoing enthusiast, Snowmass is the place for you! With over 90 kilometers of groomed trials connecting Aspen, Snowmass and Basalt, this free trail system winds through the beautiful wilderness of the Aspen/Snowmass region. This FREE trail system is one of the largest in North America, and should not be taken for granted. Even if you have never cross country skied before, you can set up lessons at the Snowmass Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Center.
