Summer Activities

Biking:

Biking in Big Sky means lift accessible trails, lush forest scenery, and dangerous downhill climbs for the adventurous rider.  The chairlift operates from 10:30am – 3:30pm daily and will take riders to miles of back country trails.  The National Forest Service that surrounds Big Sky also offers hundreds of miles of bikable trails.

Season pass:  $200-$220

Fly Fishing:

Southern Montana offers five blue-ribbon trout streams including the Gallatin River, the Madison River, the Big Hole River, the Yellowstone River, and the Missouri River. Knowledgeable guides are available at each location to offer expert tips to send you home with a prized trout.

Pricing:  If you bring your own rod, this activity is free! Rentals and fishing clinics vary, please contact our concierge for full pricing.

Golf /lessons:

The Arnold Palmer Golf Course in the Big Sky area offers a Scenic 18 hole par 72 golf course with unparalleled views and terrains and a wide array of difficulty for any level of experience.

Pricing:
9 holes:  $30-$40 dependent on season/time of day
18 holes:  $45-$60 dependent on season/time of day

Hiking:

Big Sky boasts miles of different trails for both the beginner and experienced hiker.  Trails are located in Gallatin National Forest and Yellowstone National Park.  Hikers need sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water, and of course, a camera!

Pricing: Guided tours: $20-$30
Unguided tours: Free!

Horseback Riding:

Discover the magic of Big Sky on a horseback ride.  One hour and daylong excursions are available, headed by a knowledgeable, local tour guide.  Tours are available by reservation only.

Pricing: $35-$240 depending on trail/duration of ride.  Please contact our concierge services for reservations.

Rafting/Kayaking:

With multiple rivers and streams to tame, Big Sky offers some of the most exciting rafting excursions in Colorado!  Experience levels vary from beginner to adrenaline junkie.  Get out, get wet, and enjoy the majestic views of the Rockies while having the experience of a lifetime.

Full Day: $55-$75
