Winter Activities

Dog Sledding:

You need a day off from the slopes and you’ve already been snowmobiling, so why not go dog sledding? Dog sledding is a wonderful way to enjoy the pristine winter wilderness with spectacular views.  Ride through the backcountry behind a team of strong but very gentle huskies. You will surely take home everlasting memories! Eye protection is definitely important during this activity so bring your own ski goggles or sunglasses depending on the weather. Dress as if you were going skiing. A “musher” guide will take you around on your adventure.

  • The prices can range from $180 to $300.

Ice Skating:

The Snow King Ice Arena is located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Skate rentals are available and make sure to dress warm in the winter!

  • Kids (4 and under) w/ Rentals          $7.00 to $8.00
  • Kids (5-12) w/ Rentals                      $8.00 to $10.00
  • 13-older w/ Rentals                           $9.00 to $11.00

Sleigh Rides:

Whether the sleigh ride is horse-drawn or snow-cat driven, you will find yourself in awe of the beauty that surrounds you. Discover the magic of the mountains while you enjoy the starlit skies, relax to the sounds of sleigh bells and horses prancing, glide through open meadows and trees and create memories to last a lifetime.

  • 1 hour ride                                $250 per sleigh (fits up to 12 people)

Snowcat Skiing:

The ultimate experience for the high intermediate or expert skier and snowboarder is to go snowcat powder skiing. With several thousand acres of back country terrain the opportunities for deep powder skiing and snowboarding are endless.

  • $300 to $450 per person per day

Snowcoach Tours:

Guided snowcoach tours and ski and snowshoe shuttles are available through Grand Teton and Yellowstone Region.

  • Tours usually cost around $100 to $200 per person

Snowmobiling:

Take a one hour, two hour, half or full day tour for the time of your life.  Depending upon which tour you chose, you may view open meadows, see spectacular panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges, go through trees and powder and have lasting memories to take home with you. Most tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, new snowmobile, snowsuit, boots and helmet. Remember to bring a warm hat, gloves, sunglasses or goggles, and your camera.

  • Self-guided tours: $150 to $200 per day
  • Multi-day tours: $1,000 to $3,000
