Dog Sledding:

You need a day off from the slopes and you’ve already been snowmobiling, so why not go dog sledding? Dog sledding is a wonderful way to enjoy the pristine winter wilderness with spectacular views.  Ride through the backcountry behind a team of strong but very gentle huskies. You will surely take home everlasting memories! All tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, snowsuit, and boots. Each sled can hold two adults and one child (4 feet tall and under) with a combined weight limit of less than four hundred pounds.

  • $90-$300 per person (depending on how long a tour you’d like)

Ice Skating:The Mammoth Ice Rink is an outdoor facility located in the town of Mammoth Lakes offering public skating sessions, pick-up hockey, lessons and special events. Skate rentals are available and make sure to dress warm in the winter!

Sleigh Rides:

Whether the sleigh ride is horse-drawn or snow-cat driven, you will find yourself in awe of the beauty that surrounds you in the Rockies. Discover the magic of the mountains while you enjoy the starlit skies, relax to the sounds of sleigh bells and horses prancing, glide through open meadows and trees and create memories to last a lifetime.

Snowcat Tours

Experience the beauty of Mammoth’s backcountry while enjoying lunch with a front row seat to the jagged Sierra skyline.  Take a luxury snowcat tour from the Main Lodge to Minaret Summit, where you’ll enjoy the stunning scenery and a gourmet picnic lunch.

  • Adults: $80 to $90
  • Children (12 and under): $40 to $50

Snowcoach Tours:

Snowcoaching Yellowstone is an experience like no other. Choose a day or night tour to Old Faithful or the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and see many unique wonders while listening to the snowcoach guide tell the rich history of the park. Take photos from the snowcoach or ask the guide to park and let you out. Sit back and be wowed by the diverse array of Yellowstone wildlife like bighorn sheep, bison, coyotes, elk, and moose.

  • Tours usually cost around $110 per person

Snowmobiling:

Take a one hour, two hour, half or full day tour for the time of your life.  Depending upon which tour you chose, you may view open meadows, see spectacular panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges, go through trees and powder and have lasting memories to take home with you. Most tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, new snowmobile, snowsuit, boots and helmet. Remember to bring a warm hat, gloves, sunglasses or goggles, and your camera.
