Music Festivals & Concerts – This exciting music festival is located on four acres of fenced land with the beautiful landscape of Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Taos Mountain Music Festival features everything from classical to rock music.

Summer Programs – There are many summer programs in the Taos Ski Valley. They include Jillana School of Ballet, Taos Opera Institute, Taos School of Music, German Summer School of New Mexico, and Field Institute of Taos. The programs are very fun and are located in a beautiful location.

Fishing – The fishing in the wild rivers of New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo Mountains is incredible. You’ll enjoy fly fishing for cutthroat, brown trout, and rainbow trout. Guides are available through the company Wild Rivers On The Fly, and provide half, full, and multi-day trips. The guides provide door-to-door service.

Hiking – Hiking is one of the best ways to see wildlife, landscape, and many other beautiful things nature has to offer. You’ll be able to hike some of the highest peaks in the Taos Ski Valley. Call for more information about trail locations.

Horseback Riding – Horseback riding is a great way to explore the Taos Ski Valley. There are two stables in Taos Ski Valley that offer horseback riding such as the Rio Grande Stables. They offer short rides, which go around the village, and overnight rides/campouts. Horseback riding throughout the mountains in the Taos Valley is an exciting new adventure.

Rafting – Experience the thrill of rafting by traveling down the Rio Grande River. The Rio Grande River offers rafting for every age. A five mile trip called the Racecourse is a popular half-day trip.

Climbing – Rock climbing is offered through the company called Mountain Skills Rock Climbing Guides. They offer the best rock climbing destinations. Previous skills are not required because you will be assisted by the certified and experienced guides. The company has 15 years of experience from guiding church groups to boy and girl scouts.

Mountain Biking – Taos, New Mexico is known for its amazing mountain biking trails. Mountain bike through the mountains of Taos Ski Valley while experiencing the heart pounding adventure of speeding down the trails. They offer different length rides that also range in skill levels. Come enjoy a relaxing or rigorous ride through the Taos Ski Valley.
