Dog Sledding: Dog sledding truly is a Canadian tradition and was relied upon during the pre-civilization and early years of the country’s development. Dog sledding trips are a unique way to observe Whistler’s beautiful scenery and gorgeous countryside. A variety of tours and trips are available during the winter months for the general public to experience.

Pricing: $200 to $300 (For 2-3 hours)

Ice Skating: Whistler’s Meadows Park Sports Centre is home to an Olympic size indoor ice skating rink that is open from July 1st to May 31st. Rentals, lessons and clinics are also available through the rink upon request.

Sleigh Rides: Winter sleigh rides are a fun and relaxing way to experience the Whistler countryside and are great for any occasion. A variety of sleigh rides are available throughout the Whistler Valley and mountainside, ranging from 30 minutes trips to two hour adventures.

Pricing: $50-$110 per person

Dinner Sleigh rides: $325-$425 per person

Snowmobiling: Snowmobile rentals and tours are a fun and exciting way to enjoy the world famous backcountry. A variety of tours are available for riders of all levels of experience, including wilderness dining tours for families and children and summit tours for experienced riders.

Pricing: $100-$150 (3-4 hour tours)

Extreme tours: $500-$600

Dinner tours: $200-$250

Snowshoeing/Cross Country Skiing: Whistler offers over 130 km of groomed cross-country and snowshoeing trails available to the general public. Whistler Olympic Park was home to the 2010 Nordic Skiing Winter Olympic games. The Lost Lake Park includes over 32 km of trails, four km of which have lights for evening and night cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
